Before starting to develop this app, I was aiming for a fresh design of the app and to be user friendly. My main target was to design a simple to use app, that everybody could understand, like and use it.
After understanding everything, did some research as part of the process. I had to understand what the client needed, which was the college app, which has to be user friendly and likeable to the target group. The target group was for the people attending college, the ages may vary from 16 to 30 years old (or even older).
For the app visuals, started mixing different font and colours, after I decided 3 possible combinations, asked 5 people which one they liked the most, to use it for the app and most of them agreed on my first option, which was the college logo colours.
After testing the visuals of the app withe the group, decided to build it on Dreamweaver. I have also made a test to know the thoughts of the users, and everyone liked it, it is very easy to use and useful.
I have learnt lots of stuff I did not know during the research process, also learnt how to build an app and how to make it successful.
At the beginning of this course I felt like I was losing my time with all the research being done but, in the end realized that all the research was only to help me achieve my goals, without it I would not have built such a nice app or even learnt how to do it.
My strong point is that I go straight to the point, my weakness is all the written work in between. Next time I will pay more attention to the written work than thinking to build it at once.

Hi Fi evaluation app- New Media
Asked 6 people to try it. Gave them the same task to do, all of them finished the task with different times.
Everyone found it accurate, one person got lost at the start, but got there eventually. Task times go from 30 to 58 seconds to complete. The task was to enter as visitor in the app, go back, enter as student, log in, go to my course, then programme, term dates and finally go back to the main page (student or visitor's page).
Everyone found it easy to recall and very user friendly (easy to use).
The ages of the people that tested the app, vary from 18 to 50 years old. All of them liked the app and understood how to use it and completed the asked task.
